Our Story

The Beekeepers, sister company of Arterix pest control, was founded in 1982. Just specializing in stinging insect removal, The Beekeepers became the leading company to safely and professionally remove stinging insects in metropolitan Washington, DC and Baltimore.

Later, The Beekeepers expanded its services into biting insect control- bed bugs , mosquito and ticks, stink bugs to name the few.
Arterix pest control was founded to compliment Beekeepers stinging and biting insect control services with comprehensive pest and termite control. Quarterly general pest control, subterranean termite preventative treatment and bed bug monitoring and preventative treatment have become signature services offered by Arterix pest control.

We pride in offering guaranteed stinging insect removal (till the end of the season), our subterranean  termite preventative treatment features a transferable guarantee for not only termite chemical retreatments but also damage repairs for 10 years.

Another characteristic setting Arterix pest control aside from competition is our willingness to employ disabled. One of our dispatchers is visually impaired, another works out of his wheelchair.

  • Training our dispatchers on a continuous basis to be better listeners and trying to identify the issue over the phone and offer most appropriate treatment option,
  • Conducting a drug screening, background and driving history check on all of our new technicians, training them in ladder/equipment safety, pest identification and chemical application
  • Following up with our customers to find out how we can possibly improve our service.
